Unless named on the invitation, children cannot be accommodated at the ceremony or reception. However, we are planning to have a couple of sitters available on-site to watch kids from 4:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Just let us know if you’d like to take us up on this offer!

We’re going with “garden cocktail attire.” This means… whatever you want it to mean. Somewhere between formal and casual, festive but functional.

*Please note: Most of the terrain at Shaker Village is not paved. Expect to walk on gravel and grass.

The ceremony will start around 5 p.m. and will be held just outside the Meadow View Barn. Guests may begin to arrive after 4:15 p.m.

Yes. The ceremony will take place right outside of the Meadow View Barn. Parking attendants will direct you to park next to the building (on grass).

Unpredictable! Weather in late May and early June is usually nice, but it’s best to plan for warmer temperatures, humidity, and rain.

The only weather-dependent event is Music on the Lawn. Check out Shaker Village’s website for more information.
If there’s rain during the ceremony - we’ll move things inside the barn!

Yes! Reservation blocks are available at the Asbury Inn & Suites and the Beaumont Inn. Both are approximately 15 minutes away from Shaker Village. To reserve a room, contact the hotel directly and let a staff member know that you are a guest of our wedding.
Room reservations at Shaker Village are first come, first serve.

Short answer - not really.
The Shakers built some impressive stairs, but not one elevator. If you’re staying onsite please be prepared to climb stairs. In addition, there are few and far between paved surfaces.
